Wolność String Quartet – Fuerteventura

ALFREDO REYES

He was born in Mexico City in 1991 and began his musical studies at the age of three, violin with his father and piano with his mother. His debut as a soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico City in November 1997, made him the youngest soloist in the history of Mexican orchestras. At the end of that same month, he won the 3rd prize in the V National Violin Competition “Hermilo Novelo”. He has performed as a soloist for important orchestras in the country, such as the National Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Fine Arts, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico City, the Symphonic Orchestra “Sinaloa de las Artes”, among others. In July of 2004 he made his debut as a soloist in Europe, with the Symphony Orchestra of the International Festival Tigullio Liguria di Levante, in Genoa, Italy.

He did outstanding Participations in International Courses, such as those taught by Vladimir Landsman at the University of Brock, in Ontario, Canada in 1999; by Félix Andeyevsky in Pontlevoy, France in 2006, by Mikhail Kopelman in Oviedo, Spain in 2008; and by Boris Belkin in the Chigiana Academy of Siena, Italy, from 2001 to 2016, as well as Masterclass with Scott Yoo in Mexico City. His activities cover not only several cities of the Mexican Republic, but they extend over the map, such as Canada, Italy, Spain, France, Austria, Croatia, Poland, Lithuania, The netherlands, Germany and Russia. In 2008 he participated in the International Violin Competition “Aram Khachaturian”, acting as soloist of the State Orchestra of Armenia, directed by Yuri Davtián. He has also received the scholarship for performers awarded by the National Fund for Culture and the Arts in the periods 2002-2003, 2005-2006, 2009-2010 and 2014-2015, as well as the FONCA-CONACYT scholarship for the 2016- 2018 .

He is currently studying under the tutelage of Maestro Boris Belkin at the Maastricht Conservatory, Netherlands, and he is a member of the “Wolność”, debuting in January 2017 in the Netherlands.


ALICIA LOPEZ

She was Born in 1993 in Sevilla, Spain, where she starts her musical studies starting at the Professional Conservatory “Cristóbal de Morales” from the age of eight to later study the Higher Degree in the Superior Conservatory “Manuel Castillo”, obtaining the Higher Degree in Music in 2015. Throughout these years she belonged to the “Barenboim-Said Academy of Orchestral Studies”, with professors Mathis Fischer and Klaus Peters, and studied for a year at the “Conservatoire à Rayonement Régional de Boulogne-Billancourt”, in Paris , thanks to an Erasmus scholarship.

In her most outstanding orchestral experience we include the Young Orchestra of Andalucia for more than eight years, she has participated in “L’orchester des Jeunes de la Méditerranée” in 2014 and 2015 and recently she is an active member of the NJO (“Nationaal Jeugd Orkest” of the Netherlands). She has also collaborated with the professional orchestra “Philarmonie Zuidnederland” and belongs to the job market of the “Córdoba Symphony Orchestra”. She has played under the direction from conductors such as Alain Altinoglu, Dmitri Liss, Antony Hermus, Carlo Rizzi, Michael Thomas, Manuel Hernandez Silva or Hidemi Suzuki. Currently she continues her training  with Professor Piotr Jasiurkowski, in Maastricht Conservatorium (Netherlands) and is a member of the string quartet “Famara Quartet” founded in September 2016.


EZGI ÖZER

She was born in Ankara, Turkey, in 1992 and began her music career in 2003 in the viola group of Professor Betil Basegmezler at Hacettepe University Ankara of the State Conservatory. In 2008, she joined Dogus Children Symphony Orchestra, which has been directed by Prof. Rengim Gökmen. Afterwards, she gave various concerts with this orchestra between 2008 and 2010. Besides, she also attended, as a soloist but also as a member of chamber music ensemble various music festivals in Ankara. She attended many important masterclasses with Tatjana Masurenko in 2009 and Naoko Shimuzu in 2009, among others

In 2011, she started to study viola with Feza Gökmen. She earned the opportunity to be a part of Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra directed by Cem Mansur, which took place at the Young Euro Classic in Berlin. In the same year, she was selected to be a member of Ankara Youth Symphony Orchestra as the principal viola. Moreover, she gave a lot of concerts in Turkey with the orchestra of Hacettepe University Ankara of the State Conservatory. In 2012, she took part in 15th International Young Musicians Chamber Music competition in Edirne and her ensemble group recieveing a honorable mention award. In year 2012, she had opportunity to attend of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra in Ankara. In 2013-2014, she had the opportunity to study with Prof. Mikhail Zemtsov in Utrecht Conservatorium during an exchange program. She performed Bloch Concertino for flute and viola with flute player Hazar Birkan as a soloist with Utrecht Conservatorium Youth Orchestra. She completed her bachelor education with a honor prize at Hacettepe Ankara of the State Conservatory in 2015. Since 2016 she is continuing her education in the Conservatorium Maastricht with Julia Dinerstein, and she is part of the “Wolność“ string quartet, performing in January and March 2018.


JUDIT DíAZ

Born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1994, she began playing cello at the age of six at the Escola de Música de Gracia. At the age of eight she started receiving private lessons with Adam Glubinski, member of the Orquestra del Liceo during almost six years, and later she completed her professional degree at the Municipal Conservatory  of Barcelona with Eulalia Nosás, graduating in 2012. During this period she did various activities regarding chamber music: In 2008 she won the third prize in the Jugend Musiziert international competition with the JISA trio, and in 2009 the second prize with a Baroque music ensemble, where she learned “Viola da Gamba”.

In 2012 she moved to Berlin, Germany, to receive lesson from Katarzyna Polonek, who used to perform as a soloist in the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and from Beate Altenburg, member of the Statskapelle Berlin. During this period, several chamber music concerts were held: in Lanzarote in January 2012 with the ensemble “Everett” and in March 2013 in Berlin with the trio of the community  “Canarios en Berlin”. She was also a member of J.P.O.N. (Young Philharmonic Orchestra of Saxony) during 2013, performing all around Germany.

In September 2014 she moved to the Netherlands to study higher education with Professor Mirel Iancovici at the Maastricht Conservatory. Since then she has performed several concerts of chamber music and young orchestra: in October 2014 with the Youth Orchestra MUZICI of the Netherlands, January 2015 with the trio of Piano “Maas”; in March he participated in 2015 with the orchestra “Guido’s Orchestra” in a program on German television; in April 2015 with the Cello Octet “Multicelli”; in July 2015 with the “Latin Breeze” ensemble; in October 2016 with the Symphony Orchestra B.A.M. (Brussels, Antwerp, Maastricht), and in April 2017 with the Wolność string quartet in Lanzarote. She is now a member of the string quartet “Wolność ” performing various concerts, in January 2017 in Maastricht, the Netherlands; in April 2017 and soon in January and March 2018.
