Dori Díaz Jerez

Dori Díaz Jerez was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where she began her piano studies at the Conservatory of Music, graduating with honours under the direction of Professor Jesús A. Rodríguez Martín.

He furthered his piano studies in New York with Solomon Mikowsky, and at the same time received composition lessons from Giampaolo Bracali, and later studied composition at the New School University – Mannes College of Music – New York, graduating with the highest marks under the direction of Robert Cuckson. He was awarded the Bohuslav Martinů Prize in 2001.

Elisabet Curbelo

Composer and performer born in Gran Canaria. She studied piano, voice and composition in her hometown, Madrid and Istanbul. She holds a PhD in Music Composition from UC San Diego.

Ernesto Mateo

Ernesto studied Piano and Composition in Las Palmas, graduating with Honors at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias. He has taken lessons with pianists such as Nicolai Lugansky, José Luis Castillo and Galina Neporohznya, and also from composers as Agustín Charles Soler and José María Sánchez Verdú. He has been awarded by the Real Academia Canaria de Bellas Artes with the “Excellens” prize, which is given to a creator “who denotes a remarkable technical capacity in his art, with a strong personality and originality”. Winner of several composition contests, his works have been premiered in Europe and South America by performers such as the Filarmónica de Montevideo or the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria.

Manuel Bonino

“D. “cum laude” from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Superior Degree in piano with honours, End of Degree Award in Composition in Madrid, post-graduate studies in Germany with Wolfgang Rihm. He is also a graduate in Piano and Chamber Music, and teaches composition at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias.His catalogue ranges from chamber music to choral and orchestral music, including electroacoustic music, with a special interest in improvisation. With recordings on up to 12 discs, his music has been performed in Berlin, Paris, Prague, Budapest, Havana, Seoul, Shanghai, and on stages such as the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Auditorio Nacional de España, etc., by orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Canary Islands, the Orchestra of the Canary Islands and the Orchestra of the Canary Islands. by orchestras such as the Russian Chamber Orchestra of St. Petersburg, Sinfonietta of Paris, the Hungarian Chamber Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of Tenerife, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria, etc. and by performers such as Juri Gilbo, Raquel Lojendio, Julián Elvira, Johan van der Linden, etc.His arrangements of popular music have formed part of musicals such as “Querido Néstor II”, have been commissioned for institutional events such as the Day of the Canary Islands and have been recorded on CDs by groups such as Artenara or Mestisay and performed by different orchestras and symphonic bands.
