Falla Ensemble

01/12/2018 | 21:00 - 22:30

20€

Falla Ensemble is a group specialising in the interpretation of music from the 20th and 21st centuries. The Ensemble is built on the Haprsichor concerto and five instruments by the Cadiz composer Manuel de Falla, a work that takes as its starting point the repertoire.

This work and this author could well be the excuse for the creation of the Ensemble, but it would be unfair to forget the other protagonist of this project: the harpsichord.

From our point of view, the harpsichord is an instrument unjustly forgotten outside its golden age (from the 16th to the 18th century), and we say that it is an instrument unjustly forgotten because we believe that its special sonority can contribute a great deal to contemporary music.

With the creation of the Falla Ensemble, the Nino Díaz Foundation wanted to pay tribute to one of the best composers in our history and also to promote the harpsichord by disseminating its contemporary repertoire and encouraging the creation of new works.
